Sharisse Kimbro

Relationship Abuse Program Officer, The Allstate Foundation

Sharisse Kimbro serves as Relationship Abuse Program Officer for The Allstate Foundation, leading the national strategy and grantmaking to disrupt the cycle and reduce the prevalence of relationship abuse. Since joining the Foundation in 2022, she has championed the principles of trust-based philanthropy, expanded support to the most impacted communities and prioritized the voices and needs of domestic violence advocates and survivors.

Prior to joining Allstate, Sharisse led the Violence Prevention and Crime Victim Services Division of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. There, she pioneered a trauma-informed approach to the office’s provisions of services and grantmaking, ensuring that the needs of victims were met with compassion and understanding.

Sharisse’s passion for domestic violence advocacy and awareness began at the University of Michigan School of Law, where she participated in a project seeking clemency for incarcerated survivors. She also holds a M.A. in Sociology and B.A. in English from Stanford University.
