Schazelle York is the Director of Global Leadership Programs at Manulife John Hancock, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of leadership within the organization. As the Leadership Development Lead, Schazelle supports over 5000 leaders worldwide, cultivating a culture of growth, innovation, and high performing teams.Since joining Manulife in 2007, Schazelle has consistently demonstrated her commitment to empowering others. Her journey through various operations and learning roles has led to her current position, where she leads transformative Leadership Programming that drives organizational success. Schazelle is also the Chair of the Employee Resource Group, Valuing the Inclusion of Black Experiences (VIBE), where her goal is to motivate colleagues and community partners to champion inclusion and belonging.Schazelle's leadership is characterized by strategic collaboration and a commitment to creating positive environments that embraces Manulife’s values and encourages creativity, critical thinking, and curiosity. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Schazelle was honored with Manulife’s 2023 Stars of Excellence award.Living in Toronto with her husband, Schazelle enjoys exploring restaurants, dancing, and spending time with her many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
