Roxanne Bisby Davis is an executive, researcher, and storyteller at Cisco. She has spent her career connecting data to the actions and decisions that impact people. For over two decades she has led efforts to enhance the understanding of employees across Cisco. From investigation, to analysis, to data visualization, she and her team have partnered across all levels of the organization to share insights and recommendations. She is currently the head of People Research and Intelligence, the data and research engine behind all the people stuff at Cisco. This organization aims to reveal the answers to some of the most challenging questions about work. How can we measure the experience at work reliably? Of the things that we can measure, which matter most? And how can we take what matters most and embed it into our people practices and systems? Roxanne is an active member of the Information Technology Survey Group, a consortium of employee research practitioners. She is the co-author of Seven Things We Know for Sure at Cisco, which is included as an appendix in Nine Lies About Work: A Freethinking Leader’s Guide to the Real World written by Marcus Buckingham and Ashley Goodall (Harvard Business Review Press, April 2019).
